WWNA’s annual AGM

This year the WWNA   held our annual AGM dinner in October.  We updated the community on our past year accomplishments. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner together before the meeting. We were also have some special guests from the City, NECRC, The Winnipeg Police Force, Local Businesses and you (community Members). Make Sure you come out to this years AGM which will be set Tentatively in October 2025. The WWNA will be publishing a Newsletter to be delivered to all households in the William Whyte Boundaries announcing the date.

Annual Holiday Celebration 

    The William Whyte Neighbourhood Association (WWNA) and in               Partnership with Church of the Rock  (North-End) and with the
    Support of our Local Businesses  We are Pleased to Announce      
                                        

That the WWNA Neighborhood Holiday Celebration was held on December 14th, 2024, Held at Church of the Rock – 239 Selkirk Ave.,    1:00pm till 4:00pm........... It was a magical time, filled with fun, food, entertainment, Santa and gifts.  Everyone attended had a wonderful time

WWNA Winter Skate Program

The WWNA Winter Skate Program Starts as soon as the weather is cold enough to maintain ice and we have enough snow.   Please watch our Facebook Pages or our Website for announcement of the program start date.

We have over 100 pairs of loaner skates for you to use during our program.

Community Engagement Meeting

This will be our 6th meeting to continue to strategize on how you, William Whyte Community Members that live, work, and play in the Community want us to move forward. This is for resident's, landlords, business owners and anyone else with a stake in our community.

                                     Monday, April 14, 2025 at 6:30pm
                                  at Pritchard Park (295 Pritchard Ave.)

At this meeting we will give you an update on our progress of the burnt buildings & piles of rubble. 

Inform you on our progress in combating the garbage problem in our community.

Inform you of the steps the WWNA has taken to reduce crime in the William Whyte Neighborhood.

 

Along with any issues you feel we need to address.

 

Come Take Part, Share your Thoughts and Let's come up with solutions together as a Community to make this neighborhood great again! 

Spring Clean-Up

Spring Clean-Up 

These Events are held where volunteers pick litter, bulky waste, etc. from our streets and back lanes.  Roll-off bins are ordered for the day of the cleanup for community members to throw out all their bulky items from their yards, garages, basements etc. FREE OF CHARGE.

                   Be sure to come out and lend a hand

We always Need Lots of Volunteers for this Event, Make Sure you come out and give us a hand, even if you can only spare an hour or two.

        This Years Spring Clean up Date is April 26th, 2025
                            From 11:00 am till 2:00pm
                        Registration starts at 10:30am.
                               Late arrivals excepted

                   We supply the pickers and garbage bags
 

 We are always in need of people with 1/2 tons to come out and give us a hand collecting garbage bags

We will be having a volunteer lunch and a prize draw immediately following the clean-up at 2:00pm
